Hair and Beard Gene Editing-Based Appearance Customization Platform Scenario

This concept is based on the genetic characteristics of Eastern and Western hair and the genetic problems that occur in the East and West based on those characteristics, as well as the thick and stiff hair caused by the EDAR gene in Easterners. It addresses the limited styling options resulting from these traits, as well as issues such as hair loss in Western individuals caused by SRD5A2 and DHT, or sparse beard growth in individuals due to the underactivity of the Androgen Receptor (AR). This e-book outlines an idea to overcome various hair-related traits, advantages, and disadvantages using CRISPR-Cas9 technology and genetic engineering.
